ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarships we are offering is for eligible seniors attending any high school in Pike County. I request that you share the enclosed scholarship information with your seniors and juniors. The scholarship(s) are for graduating seniors who are one (1) plan to attend Troy University in the upcoming academic year or two (2) graduating seniors who plan to attend a junior college, vocational school. trade school, tech school or any other eligible post-secondary educational opportunities including apprenticeships. The only caveat being the school or educational opportunity must be certified or recognized by the State of Alabama.
Please keep in mind the scholarships are exclusive to graduating high school seniors in Pike County. The scholarships will be distributed as follows: Pike Liberal Arts School and New Life Christian Academy will receive one (1) scholarship each. The senior receiving the scholarship can be either male or female. Charles Henderson, Goshen and Pike County High School will receive two (2) scholarships each, one (1) scholarship for a male senior student and one (1) scholarship for a senior female student.
The scholarship amount offered by Troy Alumni Chapter shall be in the amount of $2,000.00. Please note, any contributor or donor can designate their funds to be used exclusively at any school.
The eight (8) scholarships will be awarded at the Scholarship Breakfast on January 31, 2026, on the campus of Troy University.
The Troy Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Scholarship of $2000.00 will be awarded based on a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point of average, letters of recommendation, and written essay.
Please provide the students with a copy of the enclosed Scholarship Application(s) and Essay Instruction Form or download the documents from https://www.troyalumnikapsi.com. Feel free to make copies of the application and essay forms. It is important that interested students understand that application packets must be post marked or received no later than Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and that all required documentation, as listed on the Scholarship Application Checklist, must be included. An incomplete packet may result in a student not being considered for the scholarship.
Applicants must include (1) original copy and (1) copy of his/her complete application packet. An official transcript should be submitted. Students will be notified of the committee’s selection decisions two weeks after the deadline. The scholarship recipient will receive a one-time award of $2000.00 payable to Troy University or other post-secondary institution upon confirmation of their enrollment. It is the scholarship recipient's responsibility to ensure enrollment confirmation is provided to Troy Alumni Chapter.
